A show-stopping appetizer that doesn’t require breaking a sweat in the kitchen. I love recipes like this.
The base is a wreath made of puff pastry, which I bake in advance. Some cream cheese goes on top, followed by basically anything we like. I made a salmon version and a ham-chorizo version this time. I also added vegetables and cheese. I cut the latter into shapes using the smallest gingerbread cutters because I had the time—and I love to play.
I served these to my family for breakfast, but of course, they will be fantastic as an appetizer or party food for guests!
I bake the leftover scraps as well; those irregular shapes disappear very quickly!
